Tanglewood Park, Clemmons NC Race Description
Tanglewood Park provides a fantastic setting for this race. The outdoor pool facility was remodeled in 2005, the spacious pool deck provides ample room for spectators to view both swimmers and the excitement of the transition area. Following a 300m swim, participants head out the back gate of Tanglewood Park for two laps around a mostly flat, well paved and lightly traveled roads. The bike course finishes with a short and steep hill back to the transition area. The run course is an out and back 5k that rolls down paved roads to a trail along scenic golf and natural views. The last mile provides a challenge for all as it rolls back up to the pool area for a finish packed with spectators cheering with enthusiasm. The race attracts a wide variety of participants, from local elites to first timers drawn by the spirit and friendliness of the race.

Registration is limited to 500 entries. This race has filled each of the first two years.
